Matt Skiba (blink-182/ Alkaline Trio) posted a photo on his Instagram that shows an UFO he allegedly saw while on a plane. The irony here. Quick history: Skiba replaced (or is filling in for the LONG time being) Tom DeLonge in blink-182 as DeLonge famously walked away from the band to concentrate on To The Stars, which eventually developed into full-fledged UFO research and the launching of To The Stars Academy Of Arts And Science.

Skiba claims in responses on his post that:

"It ain't dirt on the window. I took about a dozen photos of that sunrise and only ONE had that in it. Didn't see it until I uploaded the shit to my computer and started deleting and cleaning up when I noticed 'the dirt on the window.' It's also reflecting light if you zoom in."

Skiba, a fan of the occult, isn't trolling DeLonge or blink fans here. In my experiences interviewing Skiba over the years with Alkaline Trio and blink, he's always been sincere, friendly and down to earth, and any one in the punk scene would confirm this.  It is hard to tell when the photo was taken since on Alkaline Trio's current tour they were in Brooklyn Friday and were scheduled to play Boston Saturday Aug. 18.  This  photo could have been from a previous trip as his post states it was taken "40,000 feet over the Atlantic."
