“Witness To Another World” is a great introductory documentary into the phenomena that also serves as a reminder that it is a cross-cultural/ international phenomena as well.
The film displays the emotional effects that have followed Juan as a child to adulthood to current day as a farmer. Juan’s visitation began at a young age, and the film shows he never fully recovered from it, but rather grew to except to reality that was far behind his rural Argentina home. One of the film’s strongest representations is the fear of not being believed, which Juan struggled with in his youth, and is a common barrier in abduction experiencers “coming out” with their story.
The regression re-enactments, and Juan’s story footage is well done, and when mixed with the documentary footage it makes for a visibly appealing presentation. By including other UFO witnesses in the area, and featuring the beliefs on dreams and spirituality of the Guarani people, “Witness To Another World” is more than just Juan’s story. The inclusion and involvement of famed UFO author and astrophysicist Jacques Valle adds to the film’s credibility.
“Witness To Another World” moves a bit slow, and it isn’t the flashiest of docs, but it’s not supposed to be. “Witness To Another World” hits home to the primal tendencies of our reactions to the unexplained.
